A Wilderness of Canyons and Color
Established in 1964, Canyonlands National Park protects 337,598 acres of colorful desert landscape. Located in southeastern Utah, the park is divided into four distinct districts by the Green and Colorado Rivers: Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves.
The park preserves one of the largest and most pristine wilderness areas in the United States, featuring countless canyons, mesas, buttes, fins, arches, and spires carved by millions of years of erosion.
